The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program has full approval by the , the regulatory agency for the practice of professional nursing by registered nurses
(RN) in Georgia. It develops rules and regulations that set the standards for nursing
practice and education, provides the minimum qualifications for licensure, and ensures
that disciplinary process is implemented in a fashion that guarantees due process

School and Institution Level:
The Total Plan for Evaluation (TPE) is a systematic continuous process utilized by
the faculty and staff of the School of Nursing to ensure effective programs. The TPE
is based on standards and criteria set forth by the CCNE, the SACSCOC, and the Georgia
Board of Nursing and includes assessment, evaluation and improvement plans related
to mission and governance, institutional support and resources, curriculum and teaching
learning practices, and student performance and faculty outcomes. The School submits
annual reports as required by the Georgia Board of Nursing and student learning outcome
data to the UWG Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment required by SACSCOC.
