Archival records (i.e., paper, electronic, photo, database) are those university records that have legal, fiscal, administrative, or historical value.

Identifying and Transferring Archival Records

重庆欢乐生肖官方网址For records with the retention period of “Permanent”, departments should contact the University Archivist to schedule a records appraisal. The Archivist will asses the records and assign archival status. Records with archival status may be accepted into University Special Collections for preservation. Departments are to coordinate records transfer with the Archivist.

If records are assigned archival status, and declined by Special Collections, then departments are responsible for the permanent storage and maintenance of those records.
